Texas A&M University has cancelled two sections of LGBTQ literature and one section of Intro to LGBTQ Studies for fall. The exceptions were not granted.
It is clear that the University and its new President are intent on erasing Women's & Gender Studies.

Some students said the message of the forum, headlined by former Vice President Mike Pence, rang hollow as the university has placed limits on what professors can teach.
It’s the first system policy that doesn’t fully exclude student work. Faculty warn it’s hardly the last step in the chancellor’s censorship effort. Texas Tech University’s plans to phase out and eventually close all programs “centered on” sexual orientation and gender identity also prohibit students from creating “degree-culminating” research or theses on such topics, according to a recent memo from university leadership.
