“The wild briar rose and elder are the flowers which most distinctly speak of June and midsummer” (What to Look for in Summer, 1960) Artist: CF Tunnicliffe writer: EL Grant Watson
So here’s the results of today’s #gardening 🌱 It’s been a lot of weeding. The dahlias are now visible.
We had a very welcome visitor in the garden last night. Fingers crossed they are hunting for the baby rabbits that have started to appear and are currently my number one pain in the garden. #FoxOfTheDay #WildlifeCamera

🌿☕ What do you think this delphinium looks like 🐬? Yup, a dolphin The word delphinium comes from the Ancient Greek delphínion or delphis 🐬 Botanists including Carl Linnaeus, adopted the New Latin genus name as the spurred shape of the unopened flower buds resemble a dolphin's nose or curved body🌊
