This is what kills me about so much of this discourse.
I don't care if you, personally, don't want to use AI. That's your personal choice. Do what's right for you.
But acting offended that things are being made you don't want and angrily acting like *no one* wants them? Fuck off.
Bluesky has found a use for AI that empowers regular people to have more control over social media online. This is a good thing. Get over your weird reactionary revulsion to anything AI.

I don't think it works like that
One thing I've noticed about a lot of the anti-AI folks is they have sort of raging transphobe-style brainworms where they just become wholly consumed with negatively obsessing over AI
Tried a Reese's protein powder for the first time today. I love that it's so easy to have what's basically a dessert after a workout and be able to justify it.
"No one's asking for this"
I am. And a lot of my friends are. Get outside of your bubble.
A lot of people also keep bringing up shortcomings to DMs they want addressed instead, failing to understand the current solution is a stopgap until AT Protocol properly supports private records.
Your DMs don't currently live in your PDS.
I know a lot of people here don't care about the underlying tech, they're just Twitter refugees, essentially, but the point of Bluesky is to build decentralized social media.
This helps fulfill that mission.

I assume there will be the option to.. yβknow, not use it? These zealots are tiresome.
