We were in the room watching in horror as Tennessee botched its execution of Tony Carruthers.
There’s no humane way of executing a person. While Tony recovers from the pain he endured, we keep fighting to get forensic evidence tested that could prove he was wrongfully convicted.
This is funny enough that I'm breaking my semi-fast personal rule never to share links to the institutionally transphobic Atlantic.

The largest meta-analysis to date on physical activity & mood in daily life is out in Nature Human Behaviour. An amazing effort led by Johanna Rehder & Markus Reichert et al. (2026)!
Conclusion : What looks like a simple urban-rural divide is really the cumulative effect of territorial inequalities that climate policy lands on unevenly. And these inequalities become politically explosive when they intersect with narratives of who rural people are, and what their life is worth.
After childbirth, mothers take off 7 weeks on average, while fathers take off 3 days.
