The evidence I saw in Australia was that harassment levels were roughly stable post ban. Now if the major harm the UK wants it to prevent is that no person under 18 but ever sees nudity online - that’s… also a possible goal. My preference is to destroy things like sexortion networks.

Also it's clear now the UK's response to the teething problems with the Australia ban was not "the whole concept was the problem," its response is "Australia isn't enforcing hard enough, so we'll nerd harder with compliance" which in this case means all users being facial scanned + IDs etc.
