Photos of newly arrived immigrants at Ellis Island. Augustus Sherman took the photos between 1902 and 1920 when he worked as the Chief Registry Clerk. Striking to me how the outfits all look good because they have a discernible silhouette (shape and drape).
Ran again after 4 days of enforced rest (felt like 4 weeks!) - an easy 3.8 miles (should have run another 0.2) which was fine so normal training can now resume! But first - #parkrun volunteering tomorrow - can’t wait to get back after having been away! #running
derek guy
Throwback to when a TV station in Iceland accidentally aired an episode of Teletubbies with subtitles from the Sopranos 👌🏼
Went to see The Christophers. A wonderful two hander from Ian McKellan and Michaela Coel and deliciously funny 4.5/5
Barnaby is whinging about Aus auctions dominated by “people who look like they are recent arrivals”. I assume everyone’s favourite “retail politician” is talking about Europeans who got here barely two centuries ago rather than giving a dog whistling not-so-welcome to county to slightly newer comers
