Dragon Wars has passages of purple prose but is mostly quite terse. Use the climb skill at the spooky well and you see just "You climb down the well to hell." It'd be interesting to know how that works, what it looks like, feels like... But no, it's just "doop dee doo, you're in hell now."

Dragon Wars: I've reached a well where dead characters can be resurrected. Very cool that bringing a character back to life has such lore and flavor around it. Unfortunately, this place is hard to get to! Losing a character early in the game has no fix except reloading the saved game.

I've been DE-GOOGLING, now that Google has left their old "don't be evil" motto far behind. Switching search to Ecosia was easy, and switching browsers to Firefox has been nearly as easy. #DIDit

Now I'm working through the process of switching the email address on my online accounts. It's boring, so I'm breaking it up into small batches of 10 or so at a time. Planning to pull the plug on gmail at the end of 2026. (2/2)
