The UFC is a mixed martial arts league. Literally an international amalgamation of fighting styles. The majority of the fighters in the league practice some form of Muay Thai, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, judo, etc. The league grew out of the introduction of BJJ to the US by the Gracie family from Brazil.
