in the Asterverse, Ardbert is still from Norvrandt. However, thanks to Aster's abilities to transcend fate itself, he gave Ardbert a new lease on life. Using the power of the Azem crystal, he summoned him back and gave him life. The only difference is he sent him backwards in time to join him.
