in the Asterverse, Ardbert is still from Norvrandt. However, thanks to Aster's abilities to transcend fate itself, he gave Ardbert a new lease on life. Using the power of the Azem crystal, he summoned him back and gave him life. The only difference is he sent him backwards in time to join him.
Ardbert was a nameless face and, in Ultima Thule, Aster's gamble paid off and together with Dorian, Cyrus and Soren, they fought off the Endsinger. Now he adventures with them!
