I’ve been listening to papers’ and magazines’ politics podcasts for years and I can confirm that the issue here is not “the public can’t explain to journalists why they don’t like Keir Starmer”. The hacks clearly don’t like the reasons they’re hearing, but there is no public reluctance to explain.
