And the new AC is running a lot better than the old one was even before it tried to turn itself into an electrical fire.
I should've taken some video. The motor kept steaming for like five minutes while I sprayed it with the hose after I turned it off.

Well I suppose the good news is...
If we ever do make it to California and out of this tent I now have all of the hardware to actually install my AC in a proper window... 😮💨

Well because we weren't in it deep enough... My window AC unit decided to die in the middle of the night while it's 80° and 100% humidity.
I guess I get to spend the next few hours sweatily searching for the cheapest earliest opening place to replace it. 😩🫠

I think I'm going to completely tear down the radiators. I've really been wanting to play with some copper lately.
It makes a mess of aluminum flakes though, and I don't have an easily sweepable floor. :-/
I think in the end I'm just going to keep the cooling loop and trash nearly everything else.
