What if we could predict cancer 5+ years ahead and prevent it? A new landmark study shows the way. Exciting!

My brain feels really hyper-vascularized today. You need to read our pre-print to learn why this is not necessarily a good thing ...

Happy to start the series in 🏳️🌈 month with "On Color scales and the birth of Viridis" - looks good, allows naming of regions, AND is perceptually uniform

Where do therapeutics go in the body?
SCP-Nano combines whole-body imaging and AI to map nanocarrier biodistribution at single-cell resolution, revealing both intended targets and unexpected off-target destinations.

Yang et al. demonstrate that chronic stress accelerates glioma growth by inducing bone-marrow-derived C5aR1+ stress-associated macrophages (SAMs) in tumor-bearing mice. Stress-induced sympathetic nerve activation induces ADRB2+ monocytes to become CD36+ lipid-laden SAMs. SAMs depletion suppresses stress-related glioma tumor growth, and SAM abundance correlates with self-reported stress levels and portended prognosis in patients.

Not all brains age the same🧐🧠
Using whole-brain 3D imaging combined with spatial proteomics, @erturklab.bsky.social revealed multiple trajectories of cerebrovascular aging.
