I feel this in my soul.
Once you're "in" the publishing industry, when you're trying to sell the next thing, it can be so dangerously easy to let the machine of publishing poison your work.
So painfully easy.
I mean, they didn't say 35 million of *what* they'd be securing. Grains of sand? Diamonds? Oompa Loompas?

Hey, listen, Hollywood -- wacky idea, but maybe just maybe the key here is to make cool original stories because they sure seem to do well. If only there was an entire REALM of cool books by very cool authors you could use as the bedrock of those original stories. If only. *stares* *stares harder*
