A problem with substituting enforcement of behavior on #transit with fares, is that it doesn't block people who can afford flagship phones. Like in libraries, somebody should tell them to be quiet.
Cheap phones with jacks exist. Nonsense to say an adapter is too expensive.

Fine to have a personal preference for flagship phones with jacks, buyers can disagree. Absurd to use it as an excuse for antisocial people not using headphones in public.
