Given the timeline for Doctor Who's return in 2005, if bidding for new production team has a three month deadline, leads to a successful bid, and the writing begins immediately, the earliest the next series will premiere will be mid to late 2028
I feel that Doctor Who fandom needs a rest. It should lie fallow for 10-15 years. No YouTube opinion videos. No social media comments. No message boards.
And when it does come back, it shouldn't have any Doctor Who fans in it.
