Genoa, #CO, 6:15 pm MDT. Goodness
Tomorrow rings a lot of alarm bells for sig severe in Illinois, but very few for a widespread supercell event IMO. Personally taking some notes from 12 years back now... www.weather.gov/lot/2014_06_...

We're so back. East of Dwight #ILwx 10 min ago
Tornado striking a farm east of Dwight, #ILwx last night. And this was like...the 4th craziest tornado of the event.
Developing supercell southwest of Hugo, #COwx, 3:19 pm MDT
This is probably tied for top chase of all time with 4/26/2024. And supremely local in areas I grew up in. Really hoping impacts were minimal.

Have not learned the art of videoing while trying to watch a tornado with my own eyeballs. (~5:12 pm near Washburn, IL). Solo chase day meant smiling and waving as the supercell cruised by.
Not bad for having not even made the decision to chase until 6:30 pm! This tornado was north of DeMotte, IN around 8:00 pm on 11 June (0000 UTC on 12 June).

The second significant tornado we documented yesterday impacted Streator, IL. We were going through town when it roped out so I did the best I could to capture it. On the last shot I was busy taking pictures of the utility pole damage and didn't notice the new tornado lurking in the background.
