As the landlord is likely going to start increasing pressure to force me out of here, I need to bump this up to emergency levels of urgency. I might have only 2-3 months to find a new place to live even while I'm trying to pack up and sort through things by myself. www.gofundme.com/f/support-fo...
Going through mom's room clearing out stuff and found a "Most important things about me" worksheet I did when I was like 5 or 6. I had apparently just scored 130 on an IQ test at school and bragged about it no less than three times which is very funny, but one of the lines was a thing I always do
Drawing is etched in my bones. It always has been. I can't not do it myself.
Creating art and bringing beauty into the world by my own hand is what drives me. It is everything to me, and outsourcing that to an AI which can neither think nor feel nor love nor hate goes against everything I love about creating art. My art is an extension of me, and a machine can never be that
If a piece has a wonky style and inconsistent linework it's because I spent several weeks or even months agonizing over how much my motivation and mood changed the way my art looked and how much I didn't like working on the piece because of it. But by god you can be assured I put that work in.
As if there weren't enough to stress over, I got my first instance of someone asking if my art was AI šŸ™ƒ Lemme be ABSOLUTELY clear: The act of creation is what compels me to make art. It is the expression of 20 years of honing my skill & vision. I CAN NOT & WILL NOT EVER outsource that to a machine
If my perspective looks bad, it's because I am bad at perspective. If my hands look weird, it's because sometimes I am lazy and I don't feel like fussing with it anymore because it's not the point of the image.
