It’s always fun when someone who rails against “identity politics” says something like this and makes it explicit they don’t see their own identity as political.
“Ah, Mister Bond, I see you’ve already made the acquaintance of my associate…”
It’s like telling people, “As a fan of ‘The Wire’ it bothers me that people felt it had to address social issues when, really, I just wanted to watch the car chases.” I mean, ok. But also.
The pros and cons of SALT aside, it’s wild to pick this framing— “blue states are benefiting from a Trump policy!”—and not mention until the 17th paragraph that he’s the one who capped SALT deductions in the first place in 2017.

Just in case anyone is panic-searching for this info: TSA at JFK Terminal 8 is 75 minutes start to finish today (at least in the priority line which seems no quicker than the regular line — TSA Pre seemed to be moving a *lot* faster.)
Everyone has made the “social issues are central to the show” point, but also: If you want to say you prefer the action-heavy episodes, that’s fine. It’s just… there aren’t that many episodes that are even particularly action-heavy? It’s mostly a show about a branch office holding meetings in space.
Well, this just about wrecked me.
