I know that this might only concern my Greek friends and colleagues, and I know that it has nothing to do with my science… but I always so thrilled when I get to see my fiction in print — this time, a collection of 26 short stories about losing and finding affection at different life stages.
And here is the (Greek) back cover for an extra taste of the book.
Hello #world, meet 1,000× Expansion Microscopy. A small gel would grow to the size of an Olympic swimming pool, while amino-acid-scale distances become visible with ordinary light microscopy. Led by Helena Hu from @eboyden3.bsky.social's lab, in collab with us. Story: www.biorxiv.org/content/10.6...
4/n And I also must thank the SPP1935 speakers, Niels Gehring and Utz Fischer, for supporting our project @uni-goettingen.de / @goettingen-campus.de via this Priority Program for 6 years, as well as @kurianlab.bsky.social, who has been my go-to person for anything RNA over more than 10 years now.
2/n ...and although you can read all about our findings in my breakdown of the preprint thread, I want to use this opportunity to thank Dawn O'Reilly (from @dunnschool.bsky.social), whose pioneering work in Shona Murphy's lab on vU1s inspired us, and who was constantly helping with data and advice.
