Just been reminded of this little gem. Never seen it with this film which suits perfectly. Rainy Day was a David Roback led bunch of Paisley Underground types doing covers of Neil Young, Big Star, Velvets and so on. Whole record is lovely if now slightly lost to time youtu.be/G5ZehtWDRUE?...
Some people get annoyed when music is described in a pretentious way. But music is one of our most abstract and ineffable artforms, and a much bigger problem is that we aren’t describing it pretentiously enough.
