listened to avi lewis’ press conference and the guy’s french isn’t even that bad? like sure it needs work but he can pretty clearly understand people and make himself understood. it’s not unlike what carney was like a year+ ago.

It’s about coming together to build “a government that works for the many, not the money.”
Avi Lewis just won the NDP leadership, and the worst people on the internet are having an absolute meltdown.
I think that might be a good sign — because there are very specific, exciting reasons why he pisses them off.
Let me tell you all about them:
“We need (a government) that acts with moral clarity when it matters,” Avi Lewis says.
“When missiles are falling on schools and hospitals, when Israel commits a genocide in Gaza, we call it by its name and we do everything in our power to bring it to an end.”
How will Avi Lewis pay for his big ideas? Taxing billionaires and corporations.
“Banks made $70 billion in profits last year…Grocery baron Galen Weston alone is worth $20 billion,” Avi says.
“The money is there my friends. We need a government with the courage to go and get it for all of us.”
