I said this in jest but jeez.
The fun thing about "civil discourse" is that the humanities and social sciences have loved few questions more than "how might discussion lead to the production of (useful) knowledge?"

Research question: are there good studies of adjunctification in the humanities? Percentage of fixed-term or part-time faculty by discipline? How that has changed over time?
Honestly, this is an interesting look at what's going on within UF's Hamilton Institute four years in. 30% higher salaries for faculty! Less reading for the students!
