I don’t like to comment on Westminster dramas. I want our focus to be on delivering change for our constituents and our country. However, lots of Bolton residents have been asking about my thoughts on the country’s leadership this week.

I don’t believe people want us to plunge ourselves into a leadership election and spend weeks, or even months, talking amongst ourselves instead of working for them. There is also no clear frontrunner. For the good of our economy and our country, let’s just get back to work.
