Never said new game. Said update. I’ll say this for the last time. Basic annual updates do not enhance the show, they appear as an obligation rather than something to get excited about. This dilutes the impact of the show so from a presentation perspective will always hinder the flow of the show.
Yup. Unless it's something that's truly changing game changing those 5 things are just time sinks. Those games have their audience which is great, but putting updates in a showcase does nothing at this point.
Yes but the presentation of the show is worse for it. You can put out those updates whenever, you don't need them in a showcase every year. It's not about the updates existing, its the impact on the show. They appear like an obligation rather than something exciting, which is not the goal.
Good showcase but Xbox are constantly hamstrung by the same things they show literally every year. COD, ESO updates, Seas of Thieves updates, Fallout 76 updates and Flight Sim updates. Sure there are people that care but they are not exciting and take up like 25% of the show.
You could like a live service update show and put a spotlight on them if they wanted. Or they could just release trailers that won't get lost in the noise to their actual audience.
What does showing some USA Flight Sim update do for anyone here? Fans would get the same info from a trailer dropped at anytime and it's not big enough to connect to non-fans. They left the Gears coop + 12 player horde info out of the main show. That is more impactful than a nothing F76 trailer.
It won't attract non fans because those updates don't do anything significantly new/exciting. People who didn't play F76 are not going to play now because of that showing. In a presentation you need to put the best foot forward. Annual updates just create noise and dilutes the show. Less is more.
Nothing deserves a spot simply because it exists. Where’s the Candy Crush update? Xbox owns that. These kinds of updates are comparable to the Health and Safety slides in a presentation. They are an obligation rather than something exciting or significant.

It's not about support, it's about presentation. These are toilet break moments for most people watching the show. It's just annual (or less) updates. Quantity doesn't make the show better and it just creates noise rather than focusing on more important moments.

Imagine how much better your shows would be if you didn't waste time with COD, ESO updates, Fallout 76 updates, Sea of Thieves updates and Flight Sim updates literally Every. Single. Year.
