Nice to find Beautiful Carpet and Blotched Emerald - one of my favourite moths - in VC61 last night 17/6. But this snazzy tortrix - Archips xylosteana - was new to the site and rather stole the show #teammoth @bcyorkshire.bsky.social
Is this Dusky Brocade please? @mothiduk.bsky.social
VC61 17/6 Thank you so much!
Great to have this fabulous publication land on the doormat this morning - and just after a Hummingbird Hawk-moth flew past me in the garden #teammoth @bcyorkshire.bsky.social
Lepidopteral alert in Paris…

It looks very different under more natural light… am I horribly wrong? Apologies if so. ObsID vacillates but still seems to think Dichrorampha most of the time @mothiduk.bsky.social @doublekidney.bsky.social
64/37 last night in VC61. Badger down to one foot (!) Almost as many cockchafers as moths but 5 potential firsts for the site including Anchylis mitterbacheriana, Sandy Carpet - and I think that’s Rivulet rather than Small Rivulet… #teammoth @doublekidney.bsky.social Please say if I’m mistaken!
Would these pass muster, please @mothiduk.bsky.social ? Phyllonorycter trifasciella, Homoeosoma sinuella, Argyresthia spinosella. VC61 22/5 #teammoth
43spp last night VC61. Please can I check Dark Spectacle and Cream Wave as they are new to the site. The latter seems new to 10km sq. Thank you so much @mothiduk.bsky.social

Rather a lovely way to finish a day’s walking along the Yorkshire coast #teammoth
I’ve just found this micro on tansy in VC61. Is it a Dichrorampha sp? I’m not sure it’s possible to go further than that with a photo; many of these seem scarce in Yorkshire. Any thoughts appreciated @mothiduk.bsky.social @doublekidney.bsky.social
