I think the last ep was good too. Spoilers below I think dean dying is a relatively banal way and accepting it for what it is and then sam living the domestic life he always wanted was good, because he could never have done that with dean around. Bc theyre codependent. I think dean knew that too

I think my only real criticism of the show is that it was a missed opportunity not portraying dean winchester as a gay man. And castiel's entire character is basically an allegory for queerness. I think if the show started in now vs 2025 they maybe woulda gone that route. Missed opportunity.

So i think dean accepting his fate was his way of doing what he believed to be a good thing for sam. It was a little messy but i think overall it was a great ending. And i liked the way they beat god, who was portrayed as a failed writer which i thought was very good.

Also mark pellegrino's version of lucifer is my fav one ever committed to film. Close second in viggo in the prophecy but i really love pellegrino's friendly glib satan

And my beautiful autistic boy castiel. I really liked the send-off he got. I know a lot of people say that the show isnt worth watching after season 5 but i really think other than the leviathan stuff and the darkness stuff which was admittedly pretty weak, its all great TV.

What a great fucking show. Even the bad seasons. 15 seasons of 23 eps each. Some of the absolute best to ever do it RE filler and comedy eps. God damn.
