and more MEPS We also have a sister campaign to announce: Stop Killing the Internet: www.stopkillingtheinternet.com This is a sister campaign that we support separate from #StopKillingGames, but whose goals co-allign with ours. We'll have more details soon! #StopKillingTheInternet
AtGames tried home arcade cabinets but no longer had the heavy hitter licenses for that kind of thing because their biggest partners cut ties years ago. They might have outlasted Arcade1up but Arcade1up had licenses most of the American arcade crowd cared about; no one talks about AtGames Legends.
AtGames would struggle to return to the retro novelty market (plug and plays, handhelds, etc.) since companies such as Atari, SEGA and Bamco have all moved on to building sustained relationships with companies like My Arcade, who now leads that space.

It would be so fucking funny in probably a couple years from now when the post-2020 Pac-Man games suddenly get updated to replace all instances of That Thing with Ms. Pac-Man.

Governments are walling off the open internet. We are a global movement opposing restrictions — and building a better internet.

Genuinely, what do they have left? The royalty rights for Ms. Pac-Man they haven't made a dime off of for the past half-decade? Maybe they can do a really expensive virtual board game table, because that worked out SO WELL for Arcade1up when they did it? (painfully obvious sarcasm)
AtGames most recently tried coasting off whales buying into their pinball ecosystem, rather than whales buying into their Legends cabinets. But their biggest partner in *that* sector, Zen Studios, cut ties with them. This was a big enough blow to AtGames that they felt the need to sue over it.

It isn't just our games that are being threatened, but the open internet itself. As more and more government are trying to implement Orwellian control, this is our chance to fight back. #StopKillingTheInternet
