My brother was in his early 20s when I saw that movie in the theater, and I sobbed so uncontrollably afterwards thinking of all the people who loved their brothers just as much as I did finding out they died on that beach.
My partner grew up in Detroit. This semester, he had a student who brother plays for the Lions! One Monday after a win, my bf cheerfully greeted the student and asked if he too was thrilled about the victory. The student said he didn’t care because he lost money when they didn’t beat the spread. 🤯😭
