I mean, I’d rather celebrate the breeder of Pinotage than assign blame to him!
I love Pinotage!
Hey!
😜
My Seattle friend rescued this from down-the-drain fate while doing cellar work for a client
For a wine that sells $40 new this showed incredible staying power. Long, high quality cork & Lagrein’s high acid surely helped
Lovely. Fresh black cherry & plum, cassis, black pepper, purple flower. 10/10
Interesting…
Except not forever because now it’s gonna be phased out on the domestic market even. Oh well.
i.e. the Italians have finally won the prosecco argument with the Aussies.
Notice I did not capitalize prosecco. Because it was a grape variety name before they hoodwinked everyone when they made it a protected place name! 😠
Aussie prosecco 4eva! 🤪
1 - Corked
3 - Hallelujah
4 - Mercaptany
Ohhhh. Did two bottles save the evening? Or were two corked? I assumed one was just meh.
From the roof! Obviously! Roof picnics!
Ah. Well, the original owner is dead.
The client is a non-wine person who is disposing of the estate, and Wine Bid (which is notorious for not being very picky about consignments) left this behind when they picked over the cellar first.
So it was up to me and her to be sensible in this case!
