the pope's there and everything!
surreal to see all the clerics with their phones out

Giving it a good asperging
Live view of the basilica awaiting dedication from in front of the Nativity Facade
for anyone not following along at home they are up to the Agnus Dei now
when of course what more do you need than the pope pulling on a rope to make a curtain fall off a plaque
interesting thing is Pope Leo is fluent in Spanish so is effortlessly delivering this Mass in the vernacular (yeah I know, Gaudí insistently conducted his affairs in Catalan even if he did know and spoke Spanish)
this is all going a bit marvel movie blue laser shooting into the sky now
And today, on the centenary of Gaudí's death (10 June 1926), the central tower is to be inaugurated (it was actually topped out on 20 Feb)

Today La Sagrada Família is having the first part of the crowning cross of the Jesus Tower installed. This will finally take it past Ulm Minster's 161.5 metres (begun 1392, completed with octagon and spire 1885-90) as the tallest church in the world!
