Here's my favourite little guy from a Pictish context. Most Pictish stonecarving is elaborate, accurate animals with swirls for joints, but this one looks like someone who is either just doodling or learning how to carve the more elaborate designs! Used as a hearthstone at Old Scatness, Shetland:
