I’ve half-joked that at its heart, DOCTOR WHO was always “punk for kids.” Without a real home, family, status, even a name, the Doctor would always find monsters (literal and figurative) and authorities preying on others and he’d say NO and fight back. That’s delicious to a kid and still needed now.
