I wrote a short post about my new article co-authored with @fiercemum.bsky.social and others. It's all about the questionnaires which are in common use internationally in trans youth healthcare, what's often wrong with these, and how we can do better.
If these logical connections work to bring someone closer to caring about trans people, that’s morally neutral. Go for it! But that line of thinking isn’t the path to justice. Refuse to play their game on their terms.

The code WIRED identified is gone from the latest version of Meta AI, the companion app for the company’s smart glasses. Meta won’t say why or whether it’s coming back.

There is something deeply haunting about this quote. It’s something I think more people need to understand. Even those of us us have been “out” for an age, who work in these spaces, who ran when others could not…we are making ourselves quieter in some places and spaces.
I spent an inordinate amount of time trying to figure out if Ca7riel & Paco Amoroso were queer/trans etc. I literally thought the former was trans masc and the latter was trans femme based on the Robyn collab. I’m not sure I can be convinced otherwise.

Don’t fall for the trap. It’s a waste of time to present the careful logic to people for whom cruelty is the point. They don’t care if they are logical or coherent.
They do care that you get tangled up in trying to convert people to your compassionate view.
They have a different worldview, not a lack of understanding. You cannot educate them out of hatred, stop trying. Or try on your own time, I’ve got shit to do
