Wall and wildflower meadows, near Bellever, this week, #Dartmoor, #Devon #photography
The blackbirds are still singing, their song. For months now, it’s been liquid green bouncing off leaves, in between ferns and out of tendrils. Now the roses absorb it. What a wonder it is to be alive and to see, feel such things.
The lady who runs then plant stall on Tavistock’s square messaged me to say she saved me a poppy as I sent Steve in his wheelchair to get one last week she knows I’m mostly housebound how kind was that ? Anyway Steve - wheelchair courier picked it up.

I actually got permission from my local council to be wheeled on a gurney around my park because I was too ill to sit in a wheelchair at all a few years ago and for my carer to drive into the park. It can be done. I dream of a future where beds are used like wheelchairs for access Kahlo style.
Whilst at Bellever this week I noticed the improved wheelchair access at the site. I’ve been following the parks access plans .. I’m too ill to sit in my wheelchair to follow the moorland trails but obviously I applaud it. What would be great for me is bed access for those who can’t sit up..
