I was put off when he mentioned “stochastic parrots” without citing @emilymbender.bsky.social - and then I realized that he wasn’t mentioning any other works. Just not his style to cite other scholars?
Were there even references at the end? I don’t remember.

I was in the room where this happened. I’m a digital services librarian, not a humanist. By the middle of the talk, my notes say “Will the full text be posted online later? Confused, maybe interested? Need to start at beginning again.”
