Yeah, the new default behavior is to show you this. The old default behavior is to just treat it as fatal and exit. I have not added detection for any new "freeze" cases, but now when you hit one you have an option to get an idea where it happens.
Playing our open source roguelike Whip-a-Wimp 🤬 while I should do other things.

Just made the generic maps transition faster. The player and COM do their best to reach the exit ASAP. Zabu beatemup 4SEGA #Genesis #Megadrive WIP
GENS is needed for the tight cases, for the warnings. However, new BlastEm has 4 cases: CHOICE_FATAL: str = "fatal" default: CHOICE_ASK: str = "ask" CHOICE_DEBUG: str = "debug" CHOICE_IGNORE: str = "ignore" Gotta check it and compare.🥴
Wow!! This change in BlastEm is making the "crash / frozen" Genesis bugs easier to detect. For this case of your #SGDK game debugging I suggested running GENS KMOD with Debug console on. Now... I can use BlastEm for almost everything. So, GENS is needed, still >> www.retrodev.com/repos/blastem
the inbuilt screen recorder doesn't manage to capture 60 FPS at all🥲
Yesterday I watched ARCO (2025) and loved it. 8- of 10. It made me thinking about many things. And I should re-watch Isle of Dogs (2018) one day. Love products that leave long lasting aftertaste.
