much social media is ritualistic rather than antagonistic, i.e. sharing info & small acts of solidarity within a group which roughly agrees with itself. I'm ok with that. It's good sometimes to read writing that gives insight into how a group's rough agreement with itself contains disagreements too.

New building opposite Kings Cross station, dynamic, with aspects of Michael Hopkins and James Stirling. What do people know about it, for life sciences maybe? Most Kings Cross site architecture is indifferent or shit. This is a welcome surprise. #architecture #London

Decided to start on #DHLawrence last year after a lifetime of avoiding. Slow progress. No. 1, The White Peacock is straightforwardly good in all kinds of ways. No. 2 The Trespasser, 1912, is very strangely written indeed, sometimes repulsive. More than once I wished he had burned it . . . /
