Another thing that bothers me about people using AI is how quickly they surrendered themselves to it.
These studios, companies, and creatives were fine without it, but then as soon as this shiny new fad comes along that lets them screw over other humans, they jump on it.
Creators of your favorite media are not obligated to explain anything to you.
Hell, even when they do explain things, people still get mad at them because they either don't like or understand it.

Once again - social media, and especially hatedoms, is not real life.
Toy Story 5 is not only critically acclaimed, it is going to break $1B or get very damn close.
People complain non-stop about IPs.
Those same people will also complain when something original comes out.
It's almost as if people like that care more about complaining and clout than they do about how "original" something is or even about film and animation itself..
I was looking into seeing it this weekend, but basically every showing at my local theatre was sold out, so I'm going to try and go next weekend or sometime during the week if I can.
I think the additions I'd add to this list now are Hank Hill (despite his stubbornness, he's a good dad), Lucifer from Hazbin Hotel (he's genuinely making the effort to be better) and Kinger from TADC, since I see him as a father figure type of character in the circus.

Caine is like the relative or authority figure who knows that he messed up bad, but is genuinely trying to make amends and do what he can to make everyone happy.
Jokes on them because I genuinely believe that people don't want AI slop anywhere near the arts or in the creative process. I know that I have no interest in buying anything "made" by gen AI slop or uses it.

You'll notice a trend here - almost all of them buck the "incompetent, bumbling dad" trope with the exception of Homer, and even he's been better recently.
