UPDATE - he has a (minor) infection in his rear paw by the innermost toenail. The Vet thinks he stepped on something that scratched it and then he started licking it and presto there you go!
He has to wear his cone and take antibiotics for a week and it should heal right up. Glad that’s all it is.
Someone is back at the Vet - his little foot is still bothering him!!

Someone (against his better wishes) got a bath today!!
Sadly with the melting snow the first time he goes out back in the swampy yard it will mostly all be reversed.
