Some great quotes in there
In 2025, just 12 banks provided almost 40% of all bank fossil fuel funding worldwide 🏭
That’s right, a dirty dozen of banks are responsible for well over 1/3 of global fossil fuel financing 👎

NEW ANALYSIS: Amid reports the govt is poised to water down EV targets, the UK's EV drivers are saving more than £1,100 each a year – and £3bn in total
Plug-in hybrids, which could be pushed to make up for lower BEV sales, save three times less ££

Very likely that a new PM will arrive in time to kill this silly idea, but it's still bad news.
⛽we're in an oil price shock, and it's obviously time to get off oil as quick as we can
🚗EVs have just got cheaper than combustion cars for the first time

This is what the future looks like, @unitetheunion.bsky.social @unitesharon.bsky.social - you can't stand like King Knut against the waves. Not for long.
Sharon and Unite are so often great, but mistaken here
Petrol and diesel car sales are falling
EV sales are rising - 27% of new cars in May
EVs are cheaper to run than petrol
EVs have just got cheaper to buy too
Slowing down threatens jobs in the charging industry
We're in a climate emergency
Exactly.
Sadly it isn't. Most cars we drive are imported. Most cars we make are exported. Watering down the UK's EV targets again will allow car companies to raise prices for EVs at a cost to UK drivers, but most of the jobs making combustion cars that might eke out for a little longer won't be in the UK.
It's quality stuff! Well worth it
This sounds good and is definitely going in the right direction www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

The new target hasn't yet been decided, with different numbers under consideration, the BBC understands.
News comes within 24 hours of the UK government proposing a weakening of its EV targets...
This is a huge victory. UK car workers have been increasingly fearful for their jobs.
The government at the highest level has listened to the concerns of @unitetheunion.bsky.social and is now set to act decisively to protect the jobs of UK automotive workers. 1/2
As @unitetheunion.bsky.social said the failure to act would have been an act of self-harm to a sector which is a jewel in the crown of UK manufacturing.
The consultation must be swiftly concluded and its findings quickly implemented to provide the sector and workers with much needed certainty. 2/2
A statement from LCEF's Director @paulmcnamee.bsky.social on reported changes to the Zero Emission Vehicle (ZEV) mandate.
