More than 1,100 people joined @addisonlibrary.bsky.social on May 31 to celebrate the reopening of its renovated library. Visitors explored the new spaces through a library-wide bingo card experience, including a stop at the flexAMH. Congratulations to the entire APL team on this milestone!
The library, part of the East Central Regional Library system, now gives cardholders access to the building from 6 AM to 10 PM, seven days a week, including hours when no staff is on site. Patrons can browse, check out materials, use study rooms, and access digital resources on their own schedule.
The launch event brought staff and community members together for live demonstrations and on-the-spot training.
"These self-service hours are all about meeting our community where they are," said Carla Lydon, Executive Director of ECRL.
