I'm into knitting, cats, reading, sci-fi/fantasy, history, archaeology, healthcare, politics, tea, gardening. Deleted my Twitter a few weeks after the Muskrat bought it and went cold turkey on social media for a year or two. She/her.

True champs!
Now for my cat Parker to join in a ballet adaptation of “The Book of Mormon.”
Let's start the week with an idyllic timeline cleanse.
Kazuki Ikeda captured this footage in Nara Park in April 2020.
Let's talk about the weird confluence of Nara Park deer & the tradition of 花見 'hanami' (flower viewing) that originated in the Nara Period (710–794 CE).

Last image from tonight (short film in the morning): this brother out here with his Singer sewing machine, gifting people a custom embroidery on their jerseys and hats with the name and the date, was more artistic than anything at Burning Man and ad gorgeous as a Caravaggio.
Magic!
Goodnight.

I have an important bird fact to share.
Yesterday I was hiking and heard a baby bald eagle… or so I thought.
Turns out that bald eagles actually make a chirping noise so the red-tailed hawk is the eagle’s voice actor! All this time. Everyone quietly lies and subs in the hawk. Everyone in the US!
