always strange to see a uniformity of group opinion being asserted in two different directions simultaneously.
this is a uniquely deranging place to spend time if you write for a living. there's a reason why I only get writing done when I leave.
the only real solution to never having your words misinterpreted online is posting so evasively that not even you know what they mean.
Actually existing "blueskyism" is best understood not ideologically, but as a disordered relationship to language.
i've been saying this for years at this point. i've been posting since the 90s, and I've never been on any platform where so many people have such unnatural, inflexible, context-free relationships to language. it's not good.
