The fact that Hegseth is fighting a war with media doesn't help, but the US (nor any other nation) doesn't routinely share their soldiers being hit. Idk how often the nightly news shows this stuff because it's kind of dry & repetitive.
I've said it before and I will say it again - the Democrats' willingness to throw ACORN under the bus is a big reason why we now are where we are.
