@irvinewelsh.bsky.social ya bastard!
I also have to say I was very happy to see dyslexia representation in the book, as an artist who’s always struggled with dyslexia and would get made fun of for it I felt very seen. I have always had a really hard time reading books but Irvine Welsh’s novels have made me a much better reader.
This pride month, I decided to be a bit bold and draw something I’ve been thinking about for a while. It might be a little odd, but in my mind it made sense.
Leather Frank makes sense based on aesthetics, but also could symbolize freedom.

Gerry draw something other than Trainspotting challenge: impossible, because I love drawing Trainspotting too much I love to draw Simon and Mark it makes me feel free. Freedom from my classes means I get to focus on my passions lol

The fact that this novel was written in a dyslexia friendly way made me very happy. And a wonderful story on top of it! Frank is definitely my favorite character of all time, and I’m excited to see the TV adaptation that’s in the works. Can’t get enough of the blade artist.
