I cant even with this report on the state of the humanities and the social sciences that’s been circulating.
I’ll soon be giving my last series of lectures as University of Cambridge Leverhulme Visiting Professor. @camsociology.bsky.social This is one of them: www.lse.ac.uk/events/police
See you in Copenhagen this week. www.sociology.ku.dk/about/calend...
My latest article, “The Theorist Ignored: Hubert Harrison and the Birth of Racial Capitalism,” uncovers the thinking of Hubert Harrison around questions of race and capital, hinting that his ideas may have anticipated those of W.E.B. DuBois’ later work. journals.sagepub.com/doi/10.1177/...

Join the Catalysts for Decolonisation Research Lab for their upcoming events The annual lecture on 1 June will be given by Julian Go (Visiting Professor at Cambridge University and Professor of Sociology at the University of Chicago) Find out more and register at https://bit.ly/4tKDHPJ
I just don't see how shutting ppl out and NOT allowing votes on issues members care abt is constructive here (no matter what the issue in question is)
