I’m so so pumped to be teaching this class, online via @poetshouse.bsky.social, a syllabus of poets fundamental not just to my poetics but my personhood. Come read with me! poetshouse.org/event/semina...
Farid Matuk reads "Glistering" from Moon Mirrored Indivisible (@uchicagopress.bsky.social, 2025).
I'm teaching a course on 'creativity' this June at @poetshouse.bsky.social online! Won't you join me? Anyone can be creative; it's also an antidote for these dark times! poetshouse.org/event/worksh...
@hadeejasouffle.bsky.social will be instructing Writing With and Through Panic, a remote workshop for 4 Wednesdays | (Apr 8-29)! Panic, in its various forms—panic attacks, moral panics, a panicked crowd fleeing from the sound of a “gun’ that was a balloon popping—may be the opposite of poetry (1/2)
If poetry is slow, thoughtful, inspired, and nuanced, then panic is sudden, unthinking, repetitive, and unidimensional. In this workshop, we’ll experiment with what the forms of panic and poetry do to each other, read examples, & generate our own experiments in the friction of these two forms (2/2)
