They get to see how you curated your feed.
A business model idea for Bluesky: charge people money for a non-lossy Following feed.
Would you want to make the link temporary or permanent?
Would you want to set who can peek? Options: everyone, followers, mutuals.
The earliest cohort of users who started using For You in July-September 2025 tend to use the feed more.
I wouldn't draw too many conclusions from the analysis of For You users vs all Bluesky users because of the huge selection bias.
But it is probably safe to assume that helping people discover good feeds is generally good for user retention.
