I don’t know of any author (worth reading) that isn’t 100% pro-library. They know that libraries produce readers, drive sales, and are an overall net positive for society in so many ways. My local library has evolved to meet the needs in our digital society, but it’s still book centered.

Also, authors (of which I am one), the Author's Guild does a lot of good generally, but they are WRONG here. They are trying to turn against us.
There are over 12,000 public libraries in America and they are one of the only places reliably spending money on books every single day of the year.
